International Students - Electronic Hardware Design Courses

International_students_torontoCanadian Technology College (CTC) is authorized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to accept and enroll international students.

The International Student Department of Canadian Technology College assists its international students with any questions that may arise. Our counselors guide international students through the application/admissions process, student visa and immigration procedures.

Our multicultural staff also assists with personal advising cultural adjustment, academic, social, financial, and vocational problem solving and other personal issues. The office arranges for students to be welcomed at the airport when they first arrive.

In order to be issued a Letter of Acceptance from the CTC, international applicants must meet our general admissions requirements.



Students Requirements

Applicants must:

(1) Be 18 years old by the first day of class
(2) Meet Canadian visa requirements
(3) Have medical insurance. Please arrange your insurance before leaving your country.

Computer keyboard entry comprises a significant portion of training time, therefore, typing or basic keyboarding skills are a definite asset.

Canadian Technology College does NOT require international applicants to attend ESL school before coming to the College. TOEFL is NOT required!

Counselors at CTC adhere to the confidentiality guidelines outlined in the BAC Code of Ethics and Practice for Counseling (Jan 1998). This means that any information discussed with your counselor is confidential and will not be shared with anyone.

CTC assists its international students in many ways. We are doing our best to make the experience for our international students comfortable and rewarding.

How to Register
1. ACCOMMODATION: there are a plenty hotels and motels in Toronto.You may also to rent some apartments in Toronto. You make arrangements before or after you arrive in Toronto.

2. TO GET A CANADIAN VISA: If you require a student visa, go to the nearest Canadian embassy or consulate with your letter of acceptance, a valid passport, and proof of sufficient funds for your stay in Canada. Some countries also require a medical exam. The embassy will issue your student authorization or give you an introduction letter to show to Immigration Canada when you arrive at Canada. They will exchange the letter for a student visa.
People with a Visitor Visa may study for six months or less. People with a Working Holiday Visa may also take courses in our college.
IF YOU ARE DENIED A VISA you are entitled to receive a FULL REFUND OF YOUR TUITION FEE (less all bank transfer charges) if you are unable to obtain lawful entry to Canada for the purpose of studying at Canadian Technology College but you must provide the letter from the Canadian Embassy stating that your Visa to enter Canada was denied.

3. COMPLETE ONLINE FORM: and send it along with your registration fees and two passport-size photos for your ID card. Canadian Technology College will send you a letter of acceptance and a receipt for your payment. Canadian Technology College will also send you a pre-arrival handbook, in which you will find all the tips you need to prepare for your trip.

4. PAY REGISTRATION FEE: send your registration fee CAD$500 by Bank Wire (Bank Details) to Canadian Technology College Incorporated or make an online payment by credit cards. Your payment will be applied to your registration fees.

5. LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE: upon receipt of registration payment, you will be sent a Letter of Acceptance which you will need to obtain your student or tourist entry visa.

6. BALANCE IS DUE: Once you receive your visa, or 30 days before starting classes, you are required to pay 20% of your Tuition fees. (The rest of the Tuition Fee should be paid on the third day after the start day of the course).
You will then receive your information package about Canadian Technology College before your departure date.
You have to confirm your arrival plans by e-mail or phone call in advance.

Carry a map showing directions to Canadian Technology College, as you may need to ask for help. Arrive one hour earlier than your usual schedule for your first day of study for registration and testing. Bring your study confirmation documents and proof of medical insurance. We also require 2 passport-size photos for your Student ID card (if not sent with your application).
